Forever Moving Forward: B Corp Month

B Corps are businesses balancing people, planet and profit, and we’re proud to be one of them! March is B Corp Month and we’re hosting a B Corp Bash event, where we get to celebrate all things B Corp. But what is B Corp and why is it so important to us?

Celebrating B Corp Month

We’re so excited about the B Corp Bash we’re hosting this month, where we get to celebrate all things B Corp, that we want to share more of what it’s all about!

What is a B Corp?

A certified B Corp is a business of any size and shape that has been verified by B Lab to (voluntarily) meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability and is how business is used as a force for good.

There are 8,200 B Corps around the world across 162 industries in 96 countries! And in Bristol this is a fast growing movement nearly doubling in size since last year alone!

What is B Corp Month?

B Corp Month is an annual, global campaign to raise awareness of the movement, spotlight our incredible community of businesses, and celebrate what it means to be a

B Corp throughout the month of March.

This year, the theme is This Way Forward which celebrates how the movement is adapting and evolving to changing needs and how we move forward together to pave the way for better business.

It’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow B Corps or to meet up with this community in your local area to find out more about life as a B Corp and the difference it can make.

Why it’s important

As the world continues to be challenged both socially and environmentally, there is huge potential for businesses to impact this positively and put purpose and people over profit.

There are many benefits in demonstrating to your stakeholders, employees and customers that as a business you’re committed to being a force for good. B Corp can feed into every area of your business strategy and goals as well as creating a positive and transparent work culture. It also has a big role to play in promoting justice, equity, diversity and inclusion and can help attract people to work with you who support the same values.

How to join the celebration

If you’d like to find out more about what’s happening in your local area, take a look here and if you’re in our local Bristol area then we’d love to see you at our B Corp Bash and you can grab your free ticket here
